Chiropractic Care in Kelowna
Dr. Markus Thiel provides chiropractic assessment and care in Kelowna with a focus on spinal and joint function, mobility, pain, injury recovery, and helping patients return to the activities that matter to them.
Function, mobility, pain, and recovery
Chiropractic care starts with understanding how a patient is moving, what is limiting function, where symptoms are occurring, and what activities have become difficult. The goal is not to apply the same treatment to every person, but to build a plan around the individual presentation.
At Thiel Chiropractic and Okanagan Laser Solutions, chiropractic care may be used on its own or alongside laser therapy and other recovery strategies when the clinical assessment supports a combined approach.
Conditions and recovery goals we assess
Back pain & stiffness
Assessment may look at movement, joint function, muscular contribution, activity tolerance, and factors that aggravate or relieve symptoms. See our back pain treatment page.
Neck pain & mobility
Care may focus on neck movement, joint function, surrounding soft tissue, posture, and restoring comfortable day-to-day mobility.
Shoulder & upper-body concerns
Shoulder symptoms can involve the joint itself as well as the neck, upper back, movement patterns, and surrounding muscles. See our shoulder pain treatment page.
Sports & overuse injuries
Chiropractic care may be one part of a return-to-activity plan for strains, overuse problems, restricted mobility, and other musculoskeletal concerns.
Motor vehicle accident recovery
Patients recovering from collisions may need assessment for neck, back, shoulder, mobility, and soft-tissue symptoms that develop after the accident. Learn more about whiplash and motor vehicle accident treatment in Kelowna.
General movement & function
Some patients seek chiropractic care because stiffness, limited range of motion, or recurring discomfort is affecting work, recreation, or daily life.
A chiropractic care process built around your presentation
History & assessment
Symptoms, injury history, movement, function, goals, and relevant clinical findings are reviewed before treatment recommendations are made.
Care plan
If chiropractic care is appropriate, the plan is matched to the patient’s presentation rather than based on a fixed number of visits.
Treatment
Care may include chiropractic treatment and, when appropriate, integration with BIOFLEX® laser therapy or other recovery strategies used in the clinic.
Reassessment
Progress, mobility, function, and symptom response are reviewed over time so the care plan can be adjusted as needed.
Dr. Markus Thiel | BPE, RT, DC
Dr. Thiel is the Clinic Director and Chiropractor at Okanagan Laser Solutions and Thiel Chiropractic. He has been serving Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley since graduating as a Doctor of Chiropractic in May 2000.
During his post-secondary education, he acquired designations in Sports Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Chiropractic. His clinic work combines chiropractic assessment with other treatment options available at Okanagan Laser Solutions when that combination is appropriate for the patient.
Chiropractic care and laser therapy
One of the advantages of receiving care within Okanagan Laser Solutions is that chiropractic and BIOFLEX® low-level laser therapy are available in the same clinic. That does not mean every patient needs both.
When appropriate, laser therapy may be incorporated alongside chiropractic care to support a broader plan addressing pain, inflammation, tissue recovery, movement, and function.

Chiropractic care FAQ
What happens at a first chiropractic appointment?
The first visit generally begins with a review of symptoms, health and injury history, movement and function, and relevant clinical findings. Treatment recommendations depend on what is identified during that assessment.
Can chiropractic care help with back or neck pain?
Back and neck pain are common reasons people seek chiropractic assessment. Whether chiropractic care is appropriate depends on the cause of symptoms, clinical findings, and the individual patient.
Do you treat whiplash and motor vehicle accident injuries?
The clinic assesses and supports patients with musculoskeletal symptoms following motor vehicle accidents, including neck, back, shoulder, mobility, and soft-tissue concerns. Treatment depends on the individual presentation.
Can chiropractic care and laser therapy be used together?
Yes, when clinically appropriate. Because both services are available at the clinic, the treatment plan can incorporate one or both depending on the patient’s condition, goals, and response to care.
How many chiropractic visits will I need?
There is no universal visit count. Frequency and duration of care depend on the condition, how long symptoms have been present, functional goals, clinical findings, and how the patient responds.
